AVO Reconnaissance and AnalysisHeadwave’s interactive cross plot makes it easy for you to perform AVO reconnaissance and confirm AVO behavior in the context of your interpretation and full arbitrary access to prestack gathers.
The industry’s only real time AVO cross plot for large size datasets
True read-outs of values from probe guarantee correct cross plotting and selection
On the fly selection of cross plotted values with instant updates in the 3D canvas
Trend line calculation
Quick and easy inspection of AVO anomalies by application of transparency and color, instant inspection of corresponding gathers
Additionally, you can further inspect events in the prestack domain by applying the tracker
AVO Example Workflow
Load AVO volumes (Headwave 2010.1 release will allow you to compute the AVO attributes from gathers)
Interactively crossplot any two parameters within an AOI defined by a probe
Identify trends and the variation of trends by moving the probe in the 3D view, the crossplot automatically updates
View the crossplot in point mode or point density mode
Identify regions of the crossplot that are anomalous by drawing polygonal areas on the crossplot
Volumetrically highlight the anomalous sample points in the 3D view to check for distribution of the anomaly and conformance to structure
Move the probe to neighboring regions, to highlight points with a similar anomaly, or interactively repack the anomalous region
Display seismic amplitudes of the anomalous region, or blend amplitude and attributes in the stacked volume to aid interpretation
Use Headwave’s locator to interactively access the gathers (or sub stacks, or any other attribute) at any location within the anomalous region, to compare with synthetic models. This allows screening for false positives in AVO analysis, and confirmation of AVO behavior.
